The cyber security company FireEye has revealed that the growing market for malware makes it more difficult for researchers to figure out who stands behind a specific attack.
According to The Register, researchers traditionally identify hacking groups or individuals by studying the malicious code, domain name, IP addresses etc. But since malware is becoming more and more commercially available, hackers happen to use the same malware without being related to each other.
Further, financial attacks are becoming smarter and more common which complicates the entire identifying process even more.
