One and a half weeks after the massive data breach of Facebook, Google+ found a flaw similar to the bug in Facebook’s API.

What researchers first claimed to be uncertain about, is now admitted to have affected potentially at least 500,000 accounts. According to The Hacker News, user data including usernames, email, addresses, occupation, date of birth, profile photos, and gender-related information were exposed.

As a result, Google now announced that Google+ will be shut down by the end of August 2019.
