Monday, September 24, was an important day for Apple releasing its latest macOS Mojave 10.14 operating system. Demanding direct and real user interaction before any third-party application is allowed to access sensitive user data, the new software is claimed to be highly safe and data-protective.
The same day, ex-NSA hacker and security researcher Patrick Wardle, however, taught the world better: with only a few lines of code he managed to elude authorization requests to get access to personal user data.
According to The Hacker News, the zero-day flaw has not yet been directly reported to Apple but Wardle is looking for a way to catch its attention. Until the problem has been patched, users are urged to be cautious with their data.
